City Beerfest

Cheers – what a fun project!

We were initially asked to create a distinctive look for the City Beerfest guidebook, incorporating the existing roundel logo in a way that reflected the City of London’s visual style, the City location and of course, beer!

The solution was a bold, bright, golden-beer and City-red infused image which blends the recognisable shapes of the skyline with the shapes of drinking glasses – where do the glasses end and the skyline begin?

The playful image and flat graphic illustrative style was then rolled out across the cute pocket-sized guidebook and all supporting campaign materials including: adverts, email signatures, posters and flyers beer and food tokens, branded tablecloths and signage materials.

The guidebook also includes a stylised map, drawn by Sarah, showing the event area with its iconic buildings including the Guildhall, Guildhall Art Gallery and St Lawrence Jewry.
